Technical Rescue
Planning projects in challenging spaces or environments
Technical rescue and rope access teams are usually brought in for projects where;
-
You need to access to challenging spaces ie working at height, edges of high structures, over water
-
You need to minimise the disruption to operations
-
Safety is a real concern
-
Where a large scale set up is not commercial viable, or cost effective.
For example, the speed in which a rope access team can access a structure and get to work would be less disruptive and quicker than erecting scaffold towers.
What kind of projects need technical rescue capabilities?
Almost any work that is required to take place at height. Many offshore drilling constructions are achieved using rope access techniques to construct, maintain and decommission these remote superstructures, in essence much more can be done inland than window cleaning and surveys (although these are common activities).
The most challenging of projects can confidently be achieved by a rope access team with the specific experience needed, effective planning and the correct equipment.
All ResQsupport rope access technicians are IRATA qualified to provide you with the safest and high standards of delivery.
What is IRATA?
Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) is an established and recognised industry standard for rope access work, it has standardised qualification levels that are delivered by regulated and authorised training providers.
Any person that is an IRATA member* is registered on a database where you can check their validity against the register by simply entering their unique IRATA number and surname (link: https://irata.org/verify). They are also required to keep a log of their experiential hours (you may request to see their log books), so you can be sure of the level of their experience.
*An IRATA member is anyone who has successfully completed a course and that the qualification is still within expiry dates.
Assuring you of quality
The IRATA qualifications and the Association membership will assure you that the people you are using have received high quality training and are continually improving their practical experience. We also assure you of our service level with a highly detailed Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) document that will mitigate risks and detail the methodology behind the work to be completed. As part of this our staff’s experience will also be detailed in the RAMS. As a standard part of our service provision we provide full RAMS for any work we undertake for you.
